Old School Death Metal still brutalizes the mind

Published by frogsong2112 at 8:26 pm under Music Edit This

Was going through what little brain cells I have left these days and checking out the record collection again.  I am one of the fortunate bastards who owns a green vinyl copy of Carcass’s Symphonies of Sickness  which is still one of my favourite metal albums of all time.  I remember an e-mail exchange I had with Jeff Walker some time ago where I mentioned that it was my favourite to listen to.  In his reply he took the time to mention it was his as well to listen to, “especially whilst drunk”.

Carcass played such an important role in Death/Grind History.  They influences countless other bands to heavy up the noise and play challenging music at the same time.  All stellar muscians with stellar talent….

Im not much for words it seems today,,,not good.. Oh well, I should try and sleep.
